Nearly 20% of all pregnancies end in a natural miscarriage according to the Mayo Clinic, some before women even know they are pregnant. But no matter when you lose the wanted pregnancy, the experience can be painful physically and emotionally.

Cornerstone Women’s Resource Centers recognize that many women and men experience unresolved feelings after an abortion. Whether it’s your own or a loved one’s abortion experience you are processing, it is normal to experience a variety of feelings like the following:

  • Avoidance of friends

  • Uncontrollable crying
  • Denial or numbed emotions
  • Alcohol or substance abuse
